READ is an NGO headquartered in Andimadam, India (Ariyalur District, Tamil Nadu)

READ works towards improving the social, educational, and economic conditions of the underprivileged and vulnerable

population, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender, and sexual orientation.

Self-Help Groups

Women led self-help groups mainly focus on improving financial literacy and independence through micro financing and other programs.

HIV/AIDS

Provide care, guidance, & counseling for HIV/AIDS clients, while continuing to raise awareness at a national and international level.

Farmers Development

Sustainable economic development of farming communities through modern technology.

Child Sponsorship

In partnership with Sahaya Intl & its sister organization, this program supports the educational needs of orphans & vulnerable children.

Child Protection

Raise awareness to resources developed by READ that can help prevent abuse towards children and child marriages.

Child Education

Continue to grow three schools in Andimadam, Periyakrishnapuram, and Thirukalapur that provide high quality education to local children.

Senior Citizens

Support the lives of senior citizens through various initiatives.
